Canpro speaks on mitigating the risk of workplace violence

At the 2007 Industrial Accident Prevention Association annual national conference, Canpro Training Resources presented a well received and highly interactive workshop titled "Litigate or Mitigate: Time for Action on Workplace Violence".
Held each year in Toronto, the IAPA conference is Canada's largest and longest running workplace health and safety event.
The Canpro workshop featured a holistic, systems-based approach to workplace violence prevention and response. Using a public health harm reduction model known as Haddon's Matrix, Canpro examined mitigation strategies that can be utilized pre-event, during an event, and post-event, additionally looking at strategies in each time period focused on victims, offenders, the public, the physical environment and the social/policy/procedural domain.
