Workplace Risk
All workers, to varying degrees, can be exposed to risks in the workplace, including the risk of violence. While the nature and severity of the risk of violence varies among positions, the consequences to both employee and employer can be significant. Many workplace risks, such as violence, can be mitigated.
Violence, threats of violence, aggressive behaviours, harassment and bullying can occur in any workplace. Perpetrators can be colleagues, contractors, clients, members of the public, suppliers or other outside parties.
